With the success of last year's Vogue Italia's first All Black Issue, they decided to do another all black issue, this time celebrating the black barbie. Franca Sozzani, Editor-in-Chief of Italian Vogue explains,
“Barbie has been an icon for whole generations which is why I really wanted to give a strong sign in step with the times, and dedicate this issue to Black Barbie.”
